Donation Terms & Conditions

1. Voluntary Contribution & No Quid Pro Quo

All donations made to the National Loktantrik Party (“the Party”) are entirely voluntary. Making a donation is a contribution toward the Party’s democratic activities and does not confer any right, benefit, influence, or preferential treatment of any kind.

2. Eligibility and FCRA Compliance

By making a donation, the donor confirms and declares that:
  • Indian Citizenship: They are an Indian citizen (including NRIs holding a valid Indian passport).
  • No Foreign Funds: In strict compliance with the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), donations from foreign nationals, foreign entities, or OCI/PIO cardholders are not accepted.
  • Source of Funds: The donation is made from legally earned, tax-paid funds.

3. Statutory Disclosures (PAN)

In accordance with Income Tax laws and ECI guidelines:
  • PAN Requirement: Donors must provide their Permanent Account Number (PAN) for aggregate contributions exceeding ₹20,000 in a financial year to maintain transparency.
  • Corporate Donations: Indian companies donating must comply with Section 182 of the Companies Act, 2013, including Board Resolution approval and disclosure in their P&L accounts.

4. Mode of Donation & Cash Limits

  • Digital Priority: Donations must be made via lawful banking channels (UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or Cheque).
  • Cash Prohibition: In accordance with Section 13A of the Income Tax Act, the Party does not accept cash donations exceeding ₹2,000. Any amount above this limit must be via digital or negotiable instruments.

5. Tax Benefits, Refunds & Audits

  • Tax Deduction: Individual donors may claim a 100% tax deduction under Section 80GGC (or Section 80GGB for companies) of the Income Tax Act, subject to current tax laws.
  • Non-Refundable: All donations are non-refundable once the transaction is successful and the receipt is issued.
  • Transparency: The Party’s accounts are audited annually by a Chartered Accountant, and contribution reports are filed with the Election Commission of India.

6. Governing Law & Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
