1. Voluntary Membership
Membership in the National Loktantrik Party (“the Party”) is entirely voluntary. Becoming a member signifies a personal commitment to the Party’s vision and does not guarantee any administrative position, candidacy, or preferential treatment within the Party or the Government.
2. Eligibility for Membership
By applying for membership, the applicant confirms and declares that:
- They are an Indian citizen, aged 18 years or above.
- They are not a member of any other political party registered with the Election Commission of India (ECI).
- They have not been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude or any activity that disqualifies them under the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
3. Mandatory ECI Declaration
In accordance with Section 29A(5) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, every member solemnly declares:
“I bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established, and to the principles of socialism, secularism, and democracy, and would uphold the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India.”
4. Code of Conduct and Anti-Violence Pledge
Members are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity. By joining, you agree:
- To abide by the Constitution, rules, and regulations of the NLP.
- To refrain from any activity or public statement that contradicts the official party line or brings disrepute to the Party.
- Non-Violence: The member shall not, in any manner, promote, instigate, or participate in violence or activities detrimental to communal harmony.
5. Verification and Provisional Status
Submission of the membership form does not constitute immediate acceptance. Membership remains
provisional until:
- Identification documents (Voter ID/Aadhaar) are verified for constituency accuracy.
- The Party Scrutiny Committee officially approves the application.
The Party reserves the right to
reject any application without assigning a specific reason.
6. Intellectual Property & Brand Usage
The name, logo, flag, and official symbols of the National Loktantrik Party are the
exclusive property of the Party. Members are not authorized to use these for personal, commercial, or unauthorized digital pages/social media handles without prior written consent from the Central Committee.
7. Internal Democracy
The Party is committed to internal democracy. Periodic elections for organizational posts and committees shall be held in accordance with the timelines and procedures defined in the National Loktantrik Party Constitution.
8. Resignation and Termination
- A member may resign at any time by submitting a written notice to their respective District or State unit.
- Membership may be terminated immediately if a member is found violating the Party Constitution or engaging in anti-party activities.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the
laws of India. Any disputes arising out of membership shall be subject to the internal grievance redressal mechanism of the Party and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in
Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
